"Why should follow the ancients in things in which I know they were wrong? Whatever I know I have learned by my own experience, and I therefore depend upon my own knowledge, and not upon the ignorance of another." -Paracelsus
Thesis
Paracelsus was a leader, willing to stand up to physicians of the time, such as Galen, whose ideas were considered to be law. Although he was opposed by many, his leadership is reflected in the number of people who he inspired. Paracelsus’ work, while previously criticized and ridiculed, is finally being recognized for its true genius.
